A magazine with an encyclopedia behind it

Pschiiit is an independent perfume publication based in Paris. It reports and gives opinions like a magazine, and a full fragrance encyclopedia is being prepared behind it, opening progressively.

Who writes this

Pschiiit is edited by Brahim Hassine. The whole thing started in the family wardrobes: as a kid he would rummage through the closets at home and spray whatever lived there, mostly Azzaro, a scent that had no business on a 14-year-old. It stuck anyway. In 2016, with his first job and his first paycheck, he bought his first niche bottle, Armani Privé Rose d'Arabie, and the oud in it was a revelation: he had never smelled anything like it, and suddenly he wanted to smell everything. He has been collecting perfumes ever since, designer and niche alike. What convinced him was Paris Perfume Week: days spent talking scent with the community made him want to share all of it. So he created this magazine to keep that community informed: the trends, the new releases, and the perfumes that get discontinued before anyone hears about it.

Every review and every editor's note follows his one house rule: he wears the perfume on skin before writing a word about it. When a sample comes from a brand, the article says so.

What we believe

• Judgment shows through curation and precision, not demolition. We choose what we cover; we tell you who a perfume is for and when it works.
• Data deserves care. Every fragrance page can be corrected by readers, and corrections are reviewed by a human.
• Reviews, ratings and rankings are never for sale. Partnerships, when they exist, are labelled.
